It all started in the year 1999 when a friend of ours introduced us to two lovely Pet quality Persians ( Bushtail & Scruffy ) with no proper pedigree  as it happens to a lot of breeders when they first start , we loved them dearly and we still do. In fact we still have Bushtail till this very day as a neuter . Scruffy we placed in a very good loving home god bless her.
One day we decided to enter one of FiFe shows and that’s when it hit us.  Breeding time started.  At that point we knew that if we wanted to compete again we had to go for better blood lines. So that is exactly what we did. At present we are using strong and well known blood lines from Russia, UK and the US in our breeding programme . Our aim is to breed and improve healthy Persians with a sweet open expression and a lovely temperament which conform to the breed standard.
We feel that we do not have to mention any specific blood lines because our felines have already been proven to be of high show quality under our own cattery’s name through the meticulous grooming methods with which our name has become synonymous. Monarch Persian Cats  are regularly tested  by our Vet, certified to be healthy and certainly free from  FELV, FIV, FIP and PKD.
Our cats are used to living in a home type environment. They are an important part of our family. We only have a few kittens throughout the year because we do not want to commercialise our Cattery .  Primarily, we breed cats out of love not as a business and that is why we rather go for quality rather than quantity.This is a hobby for us something which relaxes us.The well being of our cats is always our priority ; in fact we only keep ten breeding adults at any point in time  since we like to dedicate to each cat plenty of attention and grooming time.  They also get plenty of affection from our three girls ( Sarah, Claire & Martina ) apart from us.
Our home and Cattery are located in MALTA,  the beautiful  Sunny Island in the Mediterranean,  where our cats get to enjoy Spring-like weather almost all the year round.
